AdSense (series 1 of 3)

AdSense (series 1 of 3)

What would happen if Google AdSense could change the advertisements on billboards as we walked by? What if the billboard could choose the advertisement it displays based on information it reads from the RFID tags in our clothing?

These are the questions I was thinking about when I made the image series "AdSense". In these images the people wear clothing with RFID tags found in them. The billboard reads the information about the maker, style and size of the clothing from the RFID tags as the people walk by a hidden reader. With the gathered information the billboard then selects an advertisement targeted to the demographic of people who typically wear clothing like the ones it detects.
